Aisha Hinds is an American actress who is best known for playing roles in the television shows The Shield and True Blood. Since her debut in 2003, she has shown her acting versatility by giving outstanding performances in television series such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7, and Under the Dome. Her performance as a character in Assault on Precinct 13 from 2005 was the very first role to attract her interest. The performance she made in the biographical film All the Way as the woman's rights campaigner Fannie Lou Hammer attracted the attention of the public. Hind received praise for her performance as Harriet Tubman, in WGN America's historical drama Underground.
