Aisha Hinds is an American actress who is best known for playing roles in the television shows The Shield and True Blood. Since her debut in 2003, she has shown her acting versatility by giving outstanding performances in television series such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7, and Under the Dome. Her performance as a character in Assault on Precinct 13 from 2005 was the very first role to attract her interest. The performance she made in the biographical film All the Way as the woman's rights campaigner Fannie Lou Hammer attracted the attention of the public. Hind received praise for her performance as Harriet Tubman, in WGN America's historical drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television announced that the show will continue for an additional season. Hind has recently completed filming for the Hollywood film Godzilla: King of the Monsters and is scheduled to be released around the middle of 2019. Her father Krishnaraj is an Army Scientist who passed away on March 18, 2017, and mother Vrinda are both housewives. Aditya is her elder brother who is also a merchant naval engineer. His brother wrote and produced Dil Ka Rishta, along with his mother. Her family relocated to Mumbai in the city, where she attended Arya Vidya Mandir. After finishing her studies for intermediate in Jai Hind College, she began her studies at D.G. Ruparel College Matunga, where she was able to score a 90 percent for her H.S.C. exams. She spent five years during her teenage years doing classical dance and studying music. Zuology was one of Bachchan's most loved subjects. Bachchan was a student studying architectural studies when she was elected Miss World in 1994. The title catapulted her into the world of modeling's rapid lane. She was awarded lucrative contracts with Vogue magazine and PepsiCo Inc., along with the L'Oreal Paris spokesperson contract in 2003. Her roles were praised, including Iruvar (1997) and Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya (1997) the actress's acting career was off a great beginning. Bachchan became the face of New Bollywood with these films that defied Bollywood's basic form of structure. Through her stunning portrayal of the jilted lover Paro in Devdas (2002) among the top viewed Bollywood films, and also the first to be shown in the Cannes Film Festival Bachchan cemented her place as the new queen of Bollywood. Her performance was praised by the critics for her performance in Chokher Bali (2003) the dramatic drama based upon RabindranathTagore's novel. That same year she served as the only Indian actor on the Cannes Film Festival jury. Bachchan starred in Gurinder Chatha's Bride and Prejudice. It was a musical and dance adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. Bachchan's star power and beauty was brought to the very premier major film in English. Following the release of Provoked: a True Story in English, she returned to Bollywood and starred in the big-budget Dhoom: 2 (2007). In April 2007, she was married to Abhishek Bachchan a frequent co-star, and son of Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan in a marriage that reunited two of the most powerful Indian people.
