Alison Doody
Alison Doody is an Irish actor and model. Born on 11th November, 1966. Following her feature film debut with a small part in Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she was later cast to appear as a an archaeologist who is sympathetic to Nazis, Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Siobhan Donavan played the role featured in A Prayer for the Dying in 1987, Charlotte played Taffin (in 1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery played Major League II. Doody was a model after she was approached. It turned out to be an extremely lucrative profession. Doody avoided nude and glamour modeling, which she carried over to her acting. When she was spotted by the director of casting for an upcoming James Bond movie, she was cast in A View to a Kill in the role of Jenny Flex. Doody was named one of the top 12 promising young Actors of 1986 by John Willis Screen World, Vol. 38. Doody was just aged 18 when she made her appearance in the Bond character. As of today, she is the youngest Bond girl. A Prayer for the Dying, starring Mickey Rourke in 1987, was a film from the beginning where Doody portrayed IRA Siobhan. Doody played Archibald Craven in his dreams in the 1987 TV adaptation from The Secret Garden. She also played Lilias. Doody was Sapsorrow in the episode of Jim Henson's fable show The Storyteller, opposite John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. In 1988, she played as Pierce Brosnan on the movie Taffin. Her most notable performance to date was her role as Austrian Nazi sympathiser as well as archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider opposite Harrison Ford in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody played alongside Sean Connery in the film, as Indy's dad. Doody starred alongside Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries, a British mini-series that was inspired by Hitler Diaries. She subsequently relocated to Hollywood. The actress later became Flannery the agent of Charlie Sheen as well as girlfriend in Major League II. She was selected as the replacement for Cybill Shepherd who had been L'Oreal's spokesperson. Doody was away from acting for almost 10 years, came back in 2003 for a minor part of The Actors, a British comedy The Actors in which Michael Caine was her character in a scene during the ceremony for awards. The year 2004, she was in the film with Patrick Swayze alongside a TV adaptation to King Solomon's Mines. Also Doody was on Benjamin's Struggle (2005), which was a pamphlet that described the Holocaust. In 2010 Doody played a role on Danny Dyer's feature film The Rapture (2010). She was also to play the lead role in The Asphyx remake, but the project was cancelled. Pam Jefferson, the character she played on E4's comedy Beaver Falls during its first season that ran for two seasons. She was a part of We Still Kill the Old Way which was a film from 2014. The film was awarded the Almeria tierra de cinema award on the 21st of November, 2018.
