Allyson Felix
Allyson Michel Felix was born the 18th of November 1985, in Los Angeles. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister at Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix showed an early aptitude to play sports while attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. She discovered her sprinting talent at that time. She finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships after only 10 weeks following her very first tryout. Felix, who graduated high school in 2003 signed a sports contract with Adidas. She then went to at the University of Southern California and completed her studies in elementary education. Felix took home her first Olympic Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics that took place at Athens Greece. She set a Junior World Record by running 200 metres in 22.18 seconds. In the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the youngest winner in the world for the 200m. In 2007, she defended her title by beating Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed in the top third of each event she competed in at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
