Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born November 18 of 1985 located in Los Angeles. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister at Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix showed a flair for sports early, and discovered her athletic abilities while she was at the Los Angeles Baptist High School. After just 10 weeks of her first attempt, Felix placed second in the 200 meters race at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003 Felix completed her high school graduation having signed a professional contract with the athletics company Adidas and then enrolled at the University of Southern California where she was studying elementary education. A year later Felix won her very first Olympic medal during the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece making the world junior record sprinting 200 meters within 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest 200-meter world champion in the Helsinki World Championships. She was able to defend her title in 2007, beating her former Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed within the top three throughout her events in the Olympics which took place in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
